Meet Judy

Saturday morning means one thing....GARAGE SALES. A quick kiss to my husband, kids packed in the car, a latte and off I go, the thrill of the hunt. The quest to find the perfect treasure, whether it is an old mirror, a piece of ribbon, or a jeweled broach, I love finding the hidden treasures of the past while shopping at flea markets, shows, or garage sales. It was the love of finding things from the past that fueled my passion to open my own store. The store was about the size of a walk in closet but it was there that Well...La de Da was born. La de Da soon became a shopping stop for many traveling through. Ten years later, I was filling a large vintage warehouse in San Luis Obispo. It was at this time, I began to feel disenchanted. More and more, I was filling the store with new items to fill the space. I lost my passion...Things of the past. I decided to sell the store. With more time to think, I realized that I missed the thrill of the hunt, the hidden treasures. With support from family and friends, the concept of "Remnants of the Past" was formed. A friend had a wonderful old barn and I thought this would be the perfect place to hold this event, a celebration of treasures of the past enchanted by time. I would fill the barn with dealers and artists using items from the past.

On a more personal level, I am married to the love of my life, Stephen, and I am a mother of two, Devon and Ryan. We live in a wonderful little beach town in Central California. I love to spend my days biking with my husband, gardening, and spending time with my children in their busy lives and of course, hunting for things of the past.
